This Cookie Policy sits alongside our Privacy Policy. It is written to meet the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR as they apply to cookies and similar technologies.

1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make sites work, remember preferences, and — if you allow it — understand how a site is used.
Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, and server logs. In this policy, “cookies” includes those similar technologies unless we say otherwise.
First-party cookies are set by voidlabs.studio. Third-party cookies are set by another domain. We currently aim to run this site with first-party cookies only. If that changes, we will update the table below and ask for consent where the law requires it.
2. Who is responsible
Void Labs (trading as Voidlabs) decides how cookies are used on this site. Contact: contact@voidlabs.studio.
3. How we use them
We use cookies to:
- keep the site secure and working
- remember whether you have set cookie preferences
- reduce spam on the contact form (rate limiting may use IP and related signals on the server, which is not a cookie)
- measure traffic, but only if you opt in to analytics
- support advertising, but only if you opt in to marketing — we do not currently run marketing cookies
4. Types of cookies
Strictly necessary
Required for the site to function, for security, or to store your cookie choice. These are allowed without consent under PECR. You can block them in your browser, but parts of the site (including remembering that you said “no” to optional cookies) may stop working correctly.
Analytics
Help us understand page views, devices, and referral sources. They are off by default. We will not set analytics cookies unless you accept them. If we have not installed an analytics product yet, choosing “accept” simply records permission so we can enable measurement later without surprising you.
Marketing
Used to measure or deliver advertising. They are off by default and are not currently deployed. If we add them, this table will name the vendor and we will honour the preference you stored.
Functionality
Remember non-essential preferences (for example a UI experiment). We do not currently set functionality cookies beyond the consent record.

Server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) are not cookies. They are described in the Privacy Policy and used for security, debugging, and form abuse prevention.
6. Legal basis
Under PECR, we may set a cookie without consent if it is strictly necessary to provide a service you have requested, or to transmit a communication. The consent cookie and essential hosting cookies fall in that category.
All other cookies require consent. Under UK GDPR, necessary processing is based on legitimate interests or legal obligation; optional cookies are based on consent (Article 6(1)(a)).
7. Consent
When you first visit, a banner offers Accept all, Reject optional, or Manage. Optional categories are unchecked until you opt in. We do not use pre-ticked boxes. Scrolling or using the site is not treated as consent.
Consent is stored in the voidlabs_consent cookie so we do not ask on every page load. You can withdraw or change consent with the button at the top of this page. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before you withdrew.
We will ask again after about 12 months, or sooner if we change cookie use in a material way.
8. Managing cookies on this site
Use Review cookie settings on this page, or clear site data for voidlabs.studio in your browser and reload — the banner will appear again because the consent cookie will be gone.
9. Browser and device controls
You can delete or block cookies in your browser. Guides are published by the browser vendors, including:
- Google Chrome — Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies
- Mozilla Firefox — Settings → Privacy & Security
- Apple Safari — Settings → Privacy
- Microsoft Edge — Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Mobile OS settings also let you limit tracking. Blocking all cookies may break the consent memory and some hosting features.
Global Privacy Control (GPC) and similar signals are not yet a complete substitute for PECR consent in the UK. We still use the banner. If the law develops, we may honour GPC as a reject-optional signal and will say so here.
10. Duration
Session cookies expire when you close the browser. Persistent cookies last until their expiry or until you delete them. Our consent cookie is set for 12 months.
11. Third parties
This site is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may process technical data as described in its documentation in order to deliver the site. We do not currently load third-party marketing or social pixels.
If you follow a link away from voidlabs.studio, that destination’s cookies are outside our control.
12. Do Not Track
Some browsers send a Do Not Track (DNT) header. There is no single agreed standard for how sites should respond. We rely on the explicit choices in our banner. Optional cookies stay off unless you accept them, which is stricter than interpreting DNT.
13. Changes
If we add, remove, or materially change cookies, we will update this page and, where required, ask for consent again. The date at the top is the current version.
